What The Hell Is Going On?!

Wow, It actually happened. The rumors that I’ve been fighting for the last three years the Giants actually traded Odell Beckham Jr. The Giants sent Odell Beckham Jr to the Cleveland Browns for their 1st round pick  in this years draft (17th Pick),  3rd Round Pick (95th Pick) and Safety Jabril Peppers.

I will be 100% honest here and not proud to admit it. when I saw the tweet and turned on NFL Network I had tears in my eyes because one of the most electrifying players in the NFL is leaving your favorite team it really is a huge blow.

After weeks and years of having to defending everything Odell did good or bad, on and off the field I stood up for him. With all the rumors spreading i would always laugh it off because how can a team trade a once in a generational talent. When GM Dave Gettlemen had spoke to the media this off season his exact words where “We didn’t sign him to trade him” I thought we were golden.

I guess after everything that went down with the Steelers with Antonio Brown earlier this week and only getting 3rd round and 5th round picks. For someone who is in the same tier of player as Odell. They had to feel the pressure of that and him most likely wanting to work something out similar to AB.

The moves the Giants have been doing recently really want to make people scratch their heads. I can be here all night with all of the things. As a Giants Season Ticket Holder I can firmly say I have no idea what direction this team is trying to go.  After last off season drafting Barkley, giving Eli another run to try to make the playoffs.  You would of though the Giants were going to try to do the quick fix whether it was the smart thing to do or not we had to respect it since they had direction in sight.

Now not even a year later we are stuck with one more year left at least with Eli Manning  and team clearly looks like its about to become a rebuilding team. It will be interesting to see how this all comes together in the coming months.

It seems like everything the Giants have touched the last two/three years have gone to complete shit. I’ll be honest I’m always a positive fan but I can firmly say  that I do not have faith in the Giants front office in recent years. The only positive thing they seem to do right was last years draft class and even that has to be question a bit.  I really hope the Giants really wake up and make moves to help this team build for the future.

I hope Odell all the best and thank you for all the memories. Go do your thing in Cleveland .
