The oldest rivalry in the history of the NFL continues in week one of this season in prime time on Sunday night as the Packers take on the Bears for the 197th time in the regular season. Green Bay leads the series 96-94 with 6 ties. This one will feature a matchup of the highest paid players in league history on each side of the ball with Aaron Rodgers facing off against the Bears newly acquired stud Khalil Mack. Here’s a few things to watch for this game: Continue reading “This one counts”
Pack at it again
Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports
It’s finally that time of year again. The time where teams get back together, and a new season begins. With the way last season went this day couldn’t come fast enough for the Packers. Stripped of their hall of fame quarterback for most of the year, the team showed its flaws by going 3-5 in the game Aaron Rodgers didn’t finish. While they gave the Steelers a run for their money in a Sunday night game that would’ve been huge in their hope for a playoff run, in the end their lack of effective QB play was their downfall. That’s not to say there aren’t other issues but those seem to be addressed this offseason and I am excited to see how it all plays out on the field. Here are a couple of things to watch at training camp this year. Continue reading “Pack at it again”
Draft Day
For the first time since the 2009 draft, the Packers will select in the first half of the first round. In that draft the packers used the ninth overall pick to select a future pro bowler and NFC Championship game hero B.J. Raji. They also traded into the late first round to pick a guy named Clay Matthews, you may have heard of him. 9 of the last 13 drafts the Packers have used their first selection on a defensive player and this year should be no different. With the draft just a few days away, here a few guys to keep in mind Continue reading “Draft Day”
Are they for real?
A week one recap of the Green Bay Packers win over the Seattle Seahawks
Where did that come from?! Last we saw Packers defense they were getting torched by the Falcons and looking utterly over matched, well things have changed. The defense led the Pack to a 17-9 win over the rival Seahawks to open the season. The win marked the 3rd in a row against Seattle since the 2014 NFC championship game debacle and the 3rd straight year they opened up the season with a win.
NFL Predictions: Playoffs, Super Bowl, Season Awards
Despite what some people want to believe, no, the New England Patriots are not going 16-0. No one is going 0-16, and as we know, a lot of things can go wrong for a team that leads to disappointment. For example: I predicted last season that the Cardinals and Panthers would be meet in the NFC Championship game for the second straight year. Neither made the playoffs last season. Going into last season, the Browns had better Super Bowl odds than the Falcons. As we know, the NFL season is a roller coaster ride that, really, no one can predict. But, we’re going to do it anyway, for the pure fact that it’s too much fun.

The North Remembers
Previewing the 2017-18 Green Bay Packers
The Game of Thrones/Packers connections are endless. The North vs The South, Aaron is Jon Snow, Clay is pretty much an actual wildling at this point, the list goes on. The 7th season of the show started with a bang and a line that I hope rings true for this coming season. “When people ask what happened here, tell them the north remembers” The line was fitting for young Arya Stark and hopefully will be true for the Green Bay Packers in their week 2 NFC Championship game rematch with the Atlanta Falcons and throughout the entire 2017-18 NFL season. Heading into camp it’s time to preview the season, take a look at the team figure out where they are headed this year.
