SNDP 292: WEEK 2

Welcome back to the SNDPodcast. We had plenty of things to talk about tonight. We had baseball playoff chases to talk about, a brutal Giants week 2 lost to the WFT. Of course, the rest of our week two picks for the NFL games this weekend.

We led the show off with the Mets still needing a miracle for them to find a way to make it to the playoffs. We break down the players we hope to end the season on a high note for them to have a semi feel-good story to the way they ended the year. For example, the hope that Pete Alonso hits 35/40 homers and the chances to drive in 100 Runs isn’t out of the realm of possibility.

Vin saw a Ken Rosenthal story today that the Mets would be interested in looking at finding a way for Billy Bean and Bob Melvin from the A’s to come and run and manage the Mets. We thought it was a crazy thought but we Trust Ken Rosenthal and he wouldn’t be spending much time talking about the 3rd place Mets unless he got the right sources to say so in this regard. We all know that he is one of the most connected Media members in all of baseball. It sure would be an interesting move for Billy Bean one of the founders of the “Money Ball” era of playing baseball.

We quickly recap the Yankees week, as of the 17th the Yankees are a half-game out of the AL Wild Card. The AL East has simply been fun to watch a very good team has the potential to finish in fourth place this season. Will it be the Yanks?

Since the Giants played on TNF this week down in Washington this week and lost in heartbreaking fashion. The Giants are once again 0-2 for the 5th time in 6 seasons. It’s clearly not the way the Giants wanted to start but we are here again. How can the Giants be fixed?

Lastly, we went through the NFL’s Week 2 Picks and broke down each game and hope that we have some serious winner this week after a so-so week 1.

We hope you enjoy this week’s show, we will talk to you all next week!
