My 2018 NFL Awards

Unfortunately I was not able to record with the guys last night for our yearly Super Bowl/Year end football special. So i figured I would share my award winners for the 2018 NFL Season

MVP and OPOY- Patrick Mahomes

Its pretty obviously he should win this award hands down.  Especially when a QB is able to throw for 50 touchdown passes in a given year.

Defensive Player of the Year- Aaron Donald

This year there was a lot of players who deserved this award, but he was the clear cut winner of this years award. He recorded 20.5 Sacks this year. That was while he was being double and tripled teamed on majority of plays.

Coach of the Year- Sean McVay

I’m really impressed that a person is a year older then me and he is about to coach in the Super Bowl. It is simply amazing to me and just a sign that life isn’t fair.

Offensive Rookie of the Year- Baker Mayfield

As much as I wanted to say Saquon to win this years Rookie of the Year. I couldn’t not give it to Baker. He help the win-less Cleveland Browns to Win 7 games this year and if a few games when their way they could of made the playoffs. Not to also mention he did break a rookie passing touchdown record with 27 of them.

Defensive Rookie of the Year- Darius Leonard

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – DECEMBER 23: Darius Leonard #53, Malik Hooker #29 and George Odum #30 of the Indianapolis Colts gang up to tackle Saquon Barkley #26 of the New York Giants during the game at Lucas Oil Stadium on December 23, 2018 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Colts won 28-27. (Photo by Joe Robbins/Getty Images)

He recorded 163 total tackles this year! 163 I really don’t have to say any more about that!

Comeback Player of the Year-  Andrew Luck

NASHVILLE, TN – DECEMBER 30: Andrew Luck #12 of the Indianapolis Colts throws the ball against the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium on December 30, 2018 in Nashville, Tennessee. (Photo by Andy Lyons/Getty Images)

After missing whole 2017 we were wondering if we were ever going to see the old Andrew Luck. We got to see the old Andrew and he help bring the Colts back into the playoffs with 39 passing touchdown.

Here are my 2018 Award Winners. There wasn’t really questionable selections the only one I had to put thought to was Offensive Rookie of the Year which I’m sure had more to do because I’m a Giants fan.
