2016 was supposed to be a promising year for the New York Jets. Finishing 10-6 in 2015, basically bringing back the same roster with the addition of the rookie class and signing free agent Pro Bowl running back, Matt Forte, 2016 was supposed to be a playoff year. Well, as many people know, it was not. Ryan Fitzpatrick, the 2015 starting QB, decided to hold out for more money and would go ahead and miss all of minicamp. He would eventually sign his contract right before training camp and would be deemed the starter for the 2016 season.
With the 3rd week of the preseason coming to an end, let’s take a looking at the 2017 New York Giants. Coming off a 2016 season in which they would go 11-5 and finished 2nd in the NFC East, and 5th in the NFC, the Giants are going to look to build it in 2017.
Despite what some people want to believe, no, the New England Patriots are not going 16-0. No one is going 0-16, and as we know, a lot of things can go wrong for a team that leads to disappointment. For example: I predicted last season that the Cardinals and Panthers would be meet in the NFC Championship game for the second straight year. Neither made the playoffs last season. Going into last season, the Browns had better Super Bowl odds than the Falcons. As we know, the NFL season is a roller coaster ride that, really, no one can predict. But, we’re going to do it anyway, for the pure fact that it’s too much fun.
Steven and Vin are back this week while Danny is off. The boys ramble about the Major League Baseball Home Run record. They will also ramble about the Mets and the boys from Bronx. They also talk about the importance of preseason sports.
The boys are back with a packed show. This weeks show will help raise money for the Curtis Granderson Grand Kids Foundation. So make sure to listen and share! The boys recap the MLB trade deadline and look at the ahead to the NFL Preseason.
Previewing the 2017-18 Green Bay Packers
The Game of Thrones/Packers connections are endless. The North vs The South, Aaron is Jon Snow, Clay is pretty much an actual wildling at this point, the list goes on. The 7th season of the show started with a bang and a line that I hope rings true for this coming season. “When people ask what happened here, tell them the north remembers” The line was fitting for young Arya Stark and hopefully will be true for the Green Bay Packers in their week 2 NFC Championship game rematch with the Atlanta Falcons and throughout the entire 2017-18 NFL season. Heading into camp it’s time to preview the season, take a look at the team figure out where they are headed this year.
Football is back!! GO GIANTS!
The boys are back as a trio this week with a big show. They lead off talking about if the protective netting is needed in Major League Baseball. They then recap everything from the Mets to the yankees to the rest of the sports word. They finish off doing their really early pre-training camp NFL picks. They also remind you, you aren’t alone. This entire episode is dedicated to Linkin Park front man Chester Bennington, who sadly and tragical took his own life on July 20th.
Steven and Dan welcome in the boys from the Weisman and Oz show. They talk everything baseball. From the recap the home run derby to recapping the first half the season for both the Mets and Yankees. They than discuss the second half for both teams as well as around the rest of Major League Baseball.
What a crazy week it has been. The Boys are back to talk all about the New York Baseball. Are the injuries going to come and hurt the yankees? Is it a little too late for the Mets? They also discuss if Men and woman should be compared when it comes to sports. They of course finish off with saying their goodbyes to Phil Jackson! This and MUCH MUCH More!
