With baseball season starting on Wednesday morning in Japan between the Seattle Mariners and the Oakland A’s. I wanted to do my yearly predictions everything from MVP’s To World Series Champions.
Doing these are really fun to look at half way though the season to either fist pump in jubilation or shake your head in embarrassment because you where so far off on a prediction. So without further a due my 2019 predictions.
AL East
- Yankees
- Red Sox
- Rays
- Blue Jays
- Orioles
Similar to last year it is going to be a tough battle between the Yankees and Red Sox. This year I think it bounces in the Yankees favor. Last year everything went right for the Red Sox and with a ton of questions marks in the bullpen might be the lone thing that will cost them the division.
AL Central
- Indians
- Twins
- White Sox
- Tigers
- Royals
Until further notice this is the Indians division with the more then half of the division is rebuilding for the future.
AL West
- Astros
- A’s
- Angels
- Mariners
- Rangers
The Astros are just so stacked both offensively and pitching it would take a unworldly year from any of the other four teams and the injury bug to prevent this.
NL East
- Phillies
- Braves
- Mets
- Nationals
- Marlins
The Phillies had such a great off season I think it would take another epic choke job in September to prevent them from winning the division this year.
NL Central
- Cardinals
- Brewers
- Cubs
- Reds
- Pirates
This is by far the toughest division to pick maybe other then the AL East. I wanted to be different. Any of these teams but the Pirates can win this division.
NL West
- Dodgers
- Rockies
- Giants
- Padres
- D-Backs
To be respectful to the to the back to back NL champions I went Dodgers because they know how to complete and win. But I have a sneaky feeling on the Rockies this year.
AL Wild Cards
- Red Sox
- Rays
NL Wild Cards
- Rockies
- Braves
World Series
